Monthly Wrap up – May 2013 !
This Post is inspired by Harley Bear Book Blog. 🙂
Thanks to the Metro and the two hours in which I daily commute to work, I have been able to finish so many books this month! However, I am so tired after coming back that I am too exhausted to write a review. But wait, that does not mean I won’t post them. Next week will see LOT of reviews coming up on this website. But, here’s the wrap up for May!
POSTS:
Ernest Hemingway’s Key West Home (Pictures)
This probably means I need to post more often. 😛
REVIEWS:
Aerogrammes and other stories by Tania James
BOOKS READ BUT NOT REVIEWED (Coming soon! 😛 )

Tantra by Adi (Won in a giveaway on GoodReads ! 😀 ) (Updated: Review)
Boats on Land by Janice Pariat (Updated: Review)
The Walled City by Esther David
Yours Sarcastically by Sandeep Das
The Mysterious Mr. Jacob by John Zubrzycki (Updated: Review)
WHAT HAPPENED THIS MONTH ?
- I joined a FMCG company in a Sales and Marketing role.
- Milked a cow.
- Saw a five winged ceiling fan (Well, I have never seen one before)
- Saw butter, cheese, chocolate being made. 😀
Now, I have a short sales stint where I roam around Delhi as part of my training at my new work place and I see lots of quaint things like a luggage shop selling ice cream, among other things. But that probably deserves another post. 😀

You milked a cow? I want to do that. Are a cow’s udders smooth or rough to the touch? Do you knead the, er, nozzles, turn by turn or randomly? Does the number of (yaad aaya!) teats differ from cow to cow? Where
does the cow look while she is milked? Does it tickle her? What does the underbelly of a cow really smell like? Do the udders deflate when the milk is over? Will you be annoyed and suggest I bugger off and go milk a cow myself? Oh the grinding tedium of existence!

Hahaha, I couldn’t help but laugh when I read your comment. I am not sure whether I can answer all your questions but shall try to do so to the best of my ability. 😛
1. The udders are smooth.
2. Um, kneading one at a time.
3. Didn’t notice. 😛
4. I don’t think she likes it much but I expect the cow gets used to it. Cows are also multi-taskers. They can also shit at the same time. My friend who was the next in line to try out the milking bore some of the brunt. Though, now there are machines which imitate the action. You can just plug it on to the cow.
5. I don’t think it tickles her. Not easy to understand what a ‘Moo’ from a cow means. 😛
6. Um, didn’t really smell her underbelly. I figured she wouldn’t particularly like that.
7. Yes, they deflate when the milk is over.
And no, I am not annoyed. In fact this is the most amusing comment on this blog ever ! 😀

Haha, I enjoyed reading your reply very much. Thanks for indulging me, Admin 🙂
But I have many more questions still. I seriously want to do this. Starting tomorrow morning, I shall keep my eyes peeled for a friendly looking lactating cow. In fact, I’ll start practicing my lines right now. What will I say to the big lady? Would it be appropriate to approach her with an offering of freshly cut head of radish smuggled out of mum’s kitchen? What if the cow’s husband, the boy-cow, spots me and isn’t in the least amused by my morbid curiosity about his missus’ nether parts? Can you get me your cow’s phone number?
